Morphology:
Stem: Ø 2–3 mm, 5–15 cm long, uniform, tubular (hollow), without partial veil.
Cap: 1–5 cm in diameter, hemispherical when young, flattening when mature, often irregularly shaped. Even flattened caps continue to increase in diameter. Light brown in the center, beige to grey towards the edge.
Gills: attached (adnex), closely spaced, thin, greyish-black when mature.
Spores: black, 12–14 × 7–11 µm, lemon-shaped, smooth. Basidia four-spored.
